Chesapeake Energy breaks another promise. In meetings with Fort Worth, Texas residents, Chesapeake promised Fort they wouldn’t flare the Barnett Shale gas wells in the Trinity Trees area.

Schlumberger study: “Toward Zero Flaring.” Here’s a quote: “An important issue in protection the environment…is the effect of hydrocarbon flaring… This causes many forms of pollution–noise, toxic gasses, soot, acid rain…It has caused acid rain in Nigeria.”
